A great night had by all at the White Horse Bar. Everybody had a great powder day up on the hill and were very happy to see the New Year in over a few drinks and knowing that the first day of 2008 was going to offer up more fresh tracks.
Snow!

The snow started to fall on the 30th and decided to absolutely dump down for the next three days. Over 2 meters fell which was one of the biggest snow events to hit Hakuba in 10 years. Lots of digging and clearing to do to ensure everyone was able to get up on the mountain and enjoy the powder.
If you are driving to Hakuba just remember you may have to shift a bit of snow just to get to your car. We eventually got Jack and Tanya's car out.

The crew enjoyed a great
day out at Tsugaike getting fresh tracks in the trees
just off the runs. There was about 40 cars in the
carpark and not one lift line for the day.
Christmas 2007

Christmas day at the Whitehorse was a great event
with a full house turning up for the turkey dinner.
Lots of wine with some new friends made for a most
enjoyable evening.

Our first trip to the
monkey onsen for this season. There was lots more
snow for the walk into the park this year.

We got up on the mountain early and had a huge powder morning. Bottomless snow and even the groomers had 15cm on them. Perfect conditions for those not too experienced in powder skiing. Each side of the runs had over half a metre of snow that kept the deep powder hounds very happy.

Saturday evening 15th, December 2007. Our first bbq for the season.
A good crew of locals and new pension owners coming in for a big aussie steak.
