About Us

We manage a group of boutique hotels in Hakuba, Japan which offer a fusion between East and Western cultures. Our philosophy at all our hotels is to offer the very best and most personable service available in the valley.

We pride ourselves in showing you the best of what Hakuba has to offer so you can be rewarded with a great holiday experience. We’ll help you find your way around the mountains, advise you on the best restaurants for traditional Japanese cuisine, and we can even organise a romantic private onsen in a secluded forest setting with a bottle of champagne.

Each and every one of our staff is passionate about Hakuba and the snow, and we can't wait to share this passion with you!

A message from Tony Anderson, Manager of the White Horse Hotel Group:

"When I first came to Hakuba for a snowboarding holiday with some mates in 2003, if someone had told me it would become my home in a few years time I would have thought "no chance".

Olympic ChampionsMove the clock forward to 2006 and I am opening a hotel. Move the clock forward again to 2008 and I am out in the backcountry skiing with Olympic champions Johnny Moseley and Takahiro Sakamoto while they were filming the next Warren Miller movie.

I now keep busy managing a number of hotels around Hakuba offering something for everyone – from higher-end Japanese style accommodation, western lodge style accommodation perfect for groups or families, to backpacker style lodging.

We have hotels located in all areas of Hakuba: the restaurant and bar hub of Echoland, the picturesque forest of Wadano, Happo-One village and more.

My philosophy for all our hotels is to make sure our guests have the best holiday experience possible – one they’ll never forget.

I’ve exceeded even my wildest dreams here in Hakuba and I feel so blessed to have found such a beautiful part of the world… What will Hakuba do for you?

We look forward to welcoming you here soon at one of our White Horse Hotels. Happy skiing!”
